The superyacht crew market has a paradox: there is no shortage of crew, and no shortage of positions — yet the right match remains frustratingly difficult to find. Most agencies operate on volume. They distribute CVs widely, list every candidate, and let the numbers do the work.
Freelance Yachting was founded on the opposite philosophy. We work with fewer profiles, represent them exclusively, and focus every introduction on one outcome: a placement that works long-term for both sides.

We do not list every available seafarer. We represent a curated portfolio of elite professionals — officers who have served on vessels from 40 metres to 140 metres, who hold top-tier certifications, and whose references have been verified at Captain or Chief Engineer level.
Every candidate we represent is presented in our proprietary Elite Profile format: anonymised, technically precise, and structured for fast evaluation. No photograph, no personal data — only the professional metrics that drive the decision.
We are compensated only when a placement is confirmed and the candidate is onboard. Our interest is perfectly aligned with yours: speed, quality, and the right match. Zero upfront cost. Zero risk until the result is delivered.
Neither candidate nor client information is ever shared without explicit consent. In an industry where reputation is everything, confidentiality is not a feature — it is the foundation on which every introduction is built.
